President Donald Trump signed a major executive order Monday calling for significant changes to the nation's childhood vaccination recommendations, including spacing out certain vaccines and giving parents and doctors greater flexibility over when children receive routine shots.

The order directs federal health officials to reassess the timing and sequencing of childhood vaccines and encourages administering vaccines individually rather than combining multiple immunizations during a single medical visit. Trump also called for the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine, commonly known as MMR, to eventually be separated into three individual shots administered at different visits.

"Effective immediately, my administration is recognizing gold standard childhood vaccine recommendations for only 11 core vaccinations against the most serious and dangerous diseases, along with the MMR, which hopefully will be split up," Trump said during an Oval Office signing ceremony Monday.

The administration's plan builds on changes pursued by Health and Human Services

During a recent appearance on "The New Yorker Radio Hour" with editor David Remnick, Democratic Socialists of America national co-chair Megan Romer completely blanked out when asked to explain her plan to "tax the hell out millionaires."

During a discussion on the organization's views on taxes and wealth redistribution, Remnick asked whether the organization believed millionaires should exist at all. "I'm less concerned about millionaires, more concerned about billionaires. I don't have like a hard line where you're good, or you're bad," Romer replied.

"Yeah, I think the question is less about how much is too much and more about what are you doing to keep and maintain and get that wealth in the first place? Francesca Hong, a self-identified Democratic Socialist who is widely favored to secure the Democratic Party nomination for governor of Wisconsin, attempted to blame a number of her controversial tweets on her youthful desire to become a sports journalist. Despite her attempted walk-back, Hong was serving as an elected official when a number of the most viral posts were made.

A number of the posts were made in 2020. "Cancel Thanksgiving. Should have done this in 1621," Hong posted in November of that year. She then claimed that the beloved holiday — which was established as a national holiday by President Abraham Lincoln in 1863, in order to promote unity during the Civil War — is rooted in "genocide."

Former PGA Tour golfer Matt McQuillan has died at 45, leaving the Canadian golf community mourning a player remembered as much for his character as his time on the course.

McQuillan died Wednesday at Kingston General Hospital in Ontario while surrounded by family, according to his online obituary. No cause of death has been announced.

After turning professional in 2003, the Kingston, Ontario, native earned his PGA Tour card through Q-School in 2010 and spent the following season competing against the world's best. During the 2011 campaign, he played in 21 PGA Tour events, made seven cuts and posted the best finish of his career with a tie for third at the John Deere Classic.

Following his playing career, Matt McQuillan returned home to Kingston, where he dedicated himself to teaching the game and helping develop young Canadian golfers.

A horrific child-abuse case out of red-state Ohio is drawing national attention after a 7-year-old special-needs boy was allegedly tortured for an extended period before being found dead and bound with duct tape inside a Cincinnati apartment.

William Michael Evans-Ellis was discovered unresponsive in a closet Aug. 6 in the city's Oakley neighborhood.

His biological mother, Kaitlin Elizabeth Evans, 38, along with Kirby Rankin, 33, and Nessa Keaney, 23, have been charged with murder and child endangerment.

All three defendants have pleaded not guilty.

Investigators described a horrifying scene, alleging William suffered repeated beatings, blunt-force injuries, burns and other forms of abuse.

A veteran homicide detective told the court that the child was found with "a number of injuries that would indicate physical beatings, blunt force injuries."

Authorities also suspect William was choked and held underwater during the prolonged abuse.

The 2021 messages, released Monday by Sens. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., and Rand Paul, R-Ky., show Fauci discussing COVID-19 vaccination and pregnancy with then-CDC Director Rochelle Walensky and Surgeon General Vivek Murthy.

In one exchange, Fauci wrote that many people experience a "significant cytokine storm and fever" after the second vaccine dose and that it "theoretically could be associated with miscarriage in the 1st trimester."

Questions about Sen. Mitch McConnell's health are growing after an in-home caregiver was spotted leaving the Kentucky Republican's Washington residence and quickly ducking away from a reporter asking about his condition.

The woman was approached outside McConnell's home by independent journalist Nicholas Ballasy as she arrived to care for the 84-year-old senator, who has not been seen publicly since he was hospitalized June 14 following a serious fall.

She initially answered a few questions about why she was there.

"No, I am a home care, home caregiver," the woman said, and the reporter asked if she had been there before. "No, this is my first time. Now I can go?"

The caregiver also said she was scheduled to remain at the residence overnight.

But when Ballasy encountered her again as she later left McConnell's home, the mood appeared noticeably different.

Rep. Lauren Boebert's 21-year-old son has been arrested in Colorado and is facing multiple felony charges involving the alleged sexual exploitation of a minor.

Tyler Jay Boebert, the Republican congresswoman's oldest son, was taken into custody Sunday by the Garfield County Sheriff's Office after a warrant was issued in connection with an investigation dating back more than two years.

Court records show Boebert is facing five felony counts, including three charges of sexual exploitation of a child and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The allegations center on sexually explicit material involving Boebert and a girl who was under the age of 18 at the time.

According to court records, investigators allege Boebert recorded a video depicting himself having sexual intercourse with the minor and later shared the recording. Boebert was reportedly 18 years old at the time of the alleged incident,

Nearly 30,000 pounds of raw beef are being pulled from the market after federal officials discovered that the imported meat entered the United States without undergoing a required inspection.

Corte Argentino USA LLC, an Aventura, Florida-based meat importer, is recalling approximately 29,628 pounds of raw beef products imported from Argentina, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).

The agency announced the recall on August 7 after determining that the products had entered the country without receiving the required import reinspection. The affected beef was subsequently distributed to retailers and distributors in Florida and Texas.

The recalled products were produced between May 15 and May 20, 2026, and have "use by" or "freeze by" dates ranging from September 15 through September 20, meaning some of the meat could still be sitting in consumers' refrigerators or freezers.
