'I'm not a bad person': Beau Lamarre-Condon sobbed to detectives after handing himself in following the alleged murders of Jesse Baird and Luke Davies

Former cop Beau Lamarre-Condon sobbed to detectives after handing himself in over two deaths, saying 'I'm not a bad person' and 'I don't want you to judge me', before asking to speak with the families of his alleged victims.

Lamarre-Condon, 31, walked into Bondi Police Station on February 23, 2024, and was quickly arrested for the alleged murders of his ex-boyfriend Jesse Baird and Baird's new partner Luke Davies.

In court this week, lead detective Sasha Pinazza said Lamarre-Condon told her that he could not remember the alleged incident four days prior, and started talking about an 'out-of-body' experience.

She said he was 'crying' and 'emotional', and spoke about situations that 'messed me up' as a young police officer.

Ms Pinazza told the court that Lamarre-Condon wanted to help investigators locate the bodies of Baird and Davies, but he wanted to speak with his lawyer first.

Eventually, he helped them narrow down a location by a Greek monastery in Bungonia, about 200km south of Sydney.

Lamarre-Condon has pleaded not guilty to two counts of domestic violence-related murder and one count of break and enter.

Beau Lamarre-Condon's murder trial: Tuesday recap

On Tuesday, the court heard Jesse Baird (pictured) was supposed to start a new job as an executive producer for a shark documentary on the day he died.

The Crown prosecutor read a statement by the owner of a television production company, Lana Thrupp.

Ms Thrupp said she advertised a producer position in early February 2024 and received an application from Baird.

She interviewed him over the phone and was 'very impressed' by his enthusiasm.

'I thought he was amazing, he seemed really keen and like a lovely person,' she said.

Baird was offered the job on February 13 and quickly sent his employment forms to Ms Thrupp.

He was due to start working from home on call sheets and location scouting on Monday, February 19 - the day he was allegedly murdered.

She became concerned when calls to Baird's phone went straight to voicemail because he appeared to be very excited about the role and had earlier been responding quickly to emails.

Baird's mother was listed as his emergency contact on his employment forms.

Ms Thrupp had planned to call her until she received a reply from Baird's phone at 10.57pm on February 20 - the day after he died.

The text read: 'Hey Lana sorry to do this to you, but after a lot of thought, I think it would be best if I resign immediately.

'I'm sorry to do this to you but I need to focus on myself.'

Ms Thrupp asked him to delete correspondence about the television series and abandoned her plans to contact his mother.

Over acai bowls in Bondi, Beau Lamarre-Condon (pictured below) told his new boyfriend that he lived a 'high-end life' and was friends with 'A-list celebrities', just days before he allegedly killed two people.

The court heard Lamarre-Condon matched with a South African man on the dating app Hinge in January 2024 and they went on their first date on February 3.

His statement was read to the court by Crown prosecutors before lunch on Tuesday.

In his statement, the man said they had coffee and acai bowls in Bondi when Lamarre-Condon told him he had seen the singer Pink at high-end cafe, Bills.

'He told me about the celebrities he's met and that he lives a high-end lifestyle,' the statement read.

'He did ask me about myself a bit, but he did speak mostly about himself ... He came across as nice, and it was impressive that he knew so many A-list celebrities.'

In the statement, the man said Lamarre-Condon told him he had just come out of a 'situationship' with another man who was 26, but he didn't use Jesse Baird's name.

Their second date was in Bondi on February 6. They went to Bangkok Bites and had Messina ice cream for dessert, before Lamarre-Condon drove him to a lookout in North Bondi in his Tesla.

At the lookout, Lamarre-Condon told him there was a 'fireplace' setting on his Tesla, which meant a fireplace video played on the screen.

The man said Lamarre-Condon told him that he didn't want to activate the fireplace setting because 'the person he was in a situationship with still had his logins for the Tesla app and would be able to see'.

'He said he also needed to be careful about the music he played on Spotify because the other person was monitoring his Spotify.'

Lamarre-Condon sent the man text messages and five voice messages around the time he allegedly killed Baird and Davies.

On February 19 - the day of the alleged murders - Lamarre-Condon sent him a text at 11.59pm, saying: 'How was your Monday Mr? X.'

The boyfriend was asleep, so he replied the next day, saying his Monday was 'good', and asking about Lamarre-Condon's day and whether he slept well.

On February 20, the day after the alleged murders, Lamarre-Condon sent him voice notes saying he was 'very sick' and had a day procedure in hospital.

The court previously heard Lamarre-Condon had a minor procedure at St Vincent's Hospital in Darlinghurst on February 21.

The voice message was read to the court. He said: 'Sorry I've been a bit MIA, I've been sick and I have this operation today so I'm a bit nervous about it ... I always feel worried about having anaesthetic.

'I'm just not feeling the best ... trying to get back into a positive mindset.'

He declined an invitation to a boat party because he wasn't feeling positive about his body.

'I haven't been to the gym this week, I have no intention of going to the gym this week, and I don't want to be on a boat full of gays,' he said in the voice message.

He then sent another message, saying 'Sorry, I don't want to sound like I'm whinging, I'm actually a pretty positive person, so it's the perfect weather [for a boat party] but I'm going to bed'.

Lamarre-Condon sent a third voice message on February 21 saying he was 'nervous' about his procedure but that he was 'keen' to go on another date soon.

'I have to get my health back up and back into the headspace,' he said.

Previously, the court heard Lamarre-Condon had his day procedure on February 21, before he drove the bodies of Baird and Davies to a rural property and dumped them by a fence.

The following day, Lamarre-Condon sent him another voicemail: 'Don't worry, I didn't block you, I have just shut down all my social media, I'm going to have a bit of a break, mentally.'

He said social media was 'addictive', so he 'temporarily deactivated' his accounts.

The boyfriend said he didn't hear from Lamarre-Condon again.
