Moment brawl breaks out between parents at under 14s football match as children are forced to pull adults apart

Embarrassing footage shows the moment a brawl breaks out between parents at an under-14s football match as children are forced to pull the adults apart.

The fight was sparked when one of the children was sent off the pitch during the match between Trefelin BGC and Aberkenfig BGC last Saturday in Wales.

Furious parents flew into a rage and were recorded throwing punches at each other at the local pitch in Bridgend, South Wales in footage that has since gone viral with more than a million views online.

The angry men had to be pulled off each other by children, still dressed in their football kits.

Those involved have now been handed a lifetime ban from Trefelin BGC after their investigation.

The first brawl starts between two men. They begin pushing each other and then start a full-on slogging match and a young player has to get involved to try to stop the fight.

Meanwhile, the mother who is filming the fight is begging them to stop, shouting 'No fighting', 'It's not worth it' and 'it's just a game' while others shout 'B***** kids' at the fighting men.

Other men rally and also try to pull apart the two in the brawl as a spectating mother records the chaos but they still are gunning for each other. One sneaks in a kick below the maul trying to get them apart.

The pair appear to have been successfully separated off camera, but another clip shows them managing to clash again on the sidelines.

As they approach, one dramatically casts off his jacket like some sort of gladiator before they return to slinging unruly punches at each other at the children's game.

This time, one spectator manages to get in between the hot-headed parents, but then another attendee launches in at the peace maker, and they start battering each other too.

And then another fight appears to offshoot from their somehow too, with the worried child returning, trying to break up the parents in a strange turn of events. 'You've got your boys watching,' the mother filming reminds the men sprawling on the floor.

The referee abandoned the game after the fighting finally stopped - lasting over a minute and a half.

A spokesperson from Trefelin BGC said: 'Following the incident on the weekend an internal investigation has been conducted and individuals involved have been handed a life ban by Trefelin BGC.

'Further investigations are in the hands of the relevant governing bodies. We will not be making any further comments.'

The other club present, Aberkenfig BGC, said: 'We are aware of a video circulating on social media showing an altercation at one of our junior football fixtures on Saturday 21st February involving members associated with the opposition and Aberkenfig BGC.

The club added: 'However, we fully acknowledge that regardless of the circumstances, the scenes portrayed place the club in a negative light and are not acceptable.

'We would like to sincerely apologise to the match officials, our players, and the wider football community for any distress or reputational damage caused.

'We will carry out a full internal investigation in conjunction with the relevant governing bodies. We are committed to addressing this matter appropriately and ensuring that lessons are learned to prevent any recurrence.
