JUST IN: Shooting at Austin, Texas Bar Kills 3, Injures 14 – FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force Investigating (VIDEO)

An overnight shooting at an Austin, Texas bar on Sunday morning left three dead, including the gunman, who was killed at the scene, and 14 injured. 

Per Austin Statesman reporter Tony Plohetski, the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force is currently investigating with local authorities. The shooter used a pistol and a rifle in the attack.

Austin Police Chief Lisa Davis told reporters on Sunday that officers “were faced with the individual with a gun, and three of our officers returned fire, killing the suspect.”

Authorities received a call at 1:59 am for the shooting at Buford’s Bar on West Sixth Street, Austin EMS Chief Robert Luckritz said.

Three of the 14 victims who were transported to local hospitals were in critical condition.

Officials are expected to continue to provide updates throughout the day.

Further details on the shootings and the suspect are unclear. Notably, this comes after the US strikes in Iran that killed Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Saturday.

Horrific footage from the scene shows officers and others attempting to perform CPR on victims.

Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) responded to the news, writing on X, "Prayers for the Texans killed and injured in this attack. Grateful for APD’s quick response taking down the shooter. Reports indicate it was premeditated."
