Sydney Sweeney, Scooter Braun Step Up As Devastating Spokane Wildfires Rage

Sydney Sweeney and boyfriend Scooter Braun volunteered in Washington state amid the raging Spokane area wildfires.

The "Euphoria" star grew up in Spokane and said her family has been personally affected by the tragedy.

Rather than simply donating money, Sweeney and Braun quietly swooped in to lend a hand, volunteering alongside Second Harvest Food Bank and World Central Kitchen and personally distributing food and providing relief to community members affected by the wildfires.

According to TMZ, Sweeney was seen around town purchasing groceries and working with local restaurants to help secure food and shelter for community members displaced by the wildfires.

Police arrested and charged 37-year-old Aaron F. Farinacci with arson in connection with the Old Trails fire, which has been the most destructive of the three. Farinacci previously served a stint in prison for killing his father in 2010. He was convicted of manslaughter and aggravated assault in 2012. By 2020, he was released from prison and removed from probation in 2024, according to Spokane's KREM 2.

The causes of the Autumn Lane and Fairview fires remain under investigation.
