President Donald Trump weighed in on Flock Safety surveillance cameras for the first time Monday, signaling he remains undecided on the polarizing topic.
Flock Safety is a surveillance technology manufacturer whose cameras have raised privacy concerns and sparked debate across the country on whether the technology would open the door for spying on innocent Americans. The Daily Caller White House correspondent Reagan Reese asked Trump about his stance on Monday, and he said he would make up his mind "over the next couple of weeks."
"It's being studied right now," Trump told Reese. "You have pros and cons, right? It's being studied right now." (RELATED: 'Don't Take The Bait': A Whole Lotta People Aren't Buying Flock's Latest PR Move)
"We'll have an answer as to our views on it over the next couple of weeks," Trump added.

Much of the controversy surrounding Flock and other similar surveillance cameras relates to the potential for law enforcement to abuse the technology and violate the privacy of innocent civilians.
Several egregious examples have already made headlines. In one instance, a Florida police officer was accused of allegedly stalking his estranged wife on more than 700 occasions using Flock cameras. Another police officer from Wisconsin allegedly used the license plate readers to monitor a person he had been romantically involved with. While many officers who allegedly abused the surveillance technology were reprimanded, some Americans have taken matters into their own hands.
There are numerous reports of citizens obscuring and vandalizing Flock cameras. Surveillance cameras and license plate scanners are also being logged on websites that rely on crowdsourced sightings.
