A major elections forecaster shifted 19 House races in the Democrats' favor Friday, including Republican-held seats.
The nonpartisan Cook Political Report shifted some races from "Lean Republican" to a "Toss Up" and others from "Solid Republican" to "Likely Republican." Several "Toss Up" races in Arizona, Colorado, North Carolina, Virginia and Wisconsin were shifted to "Lean Democratic."

Today, The Cook Political Report is moving 19 more House races, all in Democrats' direction. Six districts are moving from the Toss Up column to Lean Democrat. Two more open seats are moving from Lean Republican to Toss Up.

Madison Square Garden (MSG) employees received an email offering them championship rings, but those who clicked on the email were instead assigned mandatory cybersecurity training.
After the Knicks won the 2026 NBA Finals, MSG employees received an email promising them their own championship ring. However, the email was a phishing test, allegedly commissioned by MSG owner James Dolan to address cybersecurity concerns; neither the Knicks' assistant coaches nor MSG employees have received championship rings yet.
"Congratulations, your Employee Championship Ring is here," the email obtained by The Athletic stated.
"(Employee name), this one is on the house. MSG is issuing a complimentary employee championship ring. The same jeweler, the same craftsmanship, personalized with your name. No cost to you," the email continued.
The MSG employees who clicked the link in the email were not redirected to reserve a championship ring, but rather to attend mandatory cybersecurity training, because the email was a phishing test, The Athletic reported.

Major U.S. banks moved to restrict third-party artificial intelligence agents from accessing customer accounts Thursday amid growing concerns over the security risks posed by automated financial tools.
Citi and Wells Fargo confirmed restrictions to the Daily Caller News Foundation, citing concerns about unauthorized access to customer accounts. The policies highlight a growing challenge for financial institutions as consumers turn to AI tools capable of accessing sensitive banking information and potentially conducting transactions on their behalf. "To help safeguard customer accounts and information, we do not permit third-party AI agents or assistants to log into a customer's account or transact directly within our digital banking platforms," Citi spokeswoman Gabrielle Baum told the DCNF.
"Customers can, however, continue to authorize limited, read-only access to their account information with certain Citi-approved open banking providers," Baum added.
Wells Fargo also confirmed it has taken steps to restrict unauthorized access.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) filed a lawsuit Friday to block Alaska's Senate results if Republican Alaska Sen. Dan Sullivan lost because of a challenger with the same name.
A challenger with the same name entered the race in June, which raised speculation that he intentionally ran to confuse voters and help former Democratic Alaska Rep. Mary Peltola win. If Sullivan loses, the lawsuit stated that the state would "fail in its obligation to protect the integrity of its election" if they certify the votes.
"Daniel J. Sullivan decided to run for Senator in 2026 as a Republican with the intention of misleading supporters of Senator Sullivan into voting for him. The sole purpose of his candidacy is to benefit the Peltola campaign by reducing the number of votes for Senator Sullivan … Should Alaska certify any electoral results tainted by the inclusion on the ballot of Daniel J. Sullivan—whose candidacy, Defendant Beecher found, is 'for the purpose of confusing or misleading voters and compromising the fairness of the ballot'—the State and its officers will fail in its obligation to protect the integrity of its election," the lawsuit stated.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested a violent illegal alien who re-entered the country after being deported twice.

Ortega's criminal history includes convictions for two counts of cruelty toward his wife, two counts of driving under the influence of liquor, battery, assaulting a police officer, and obstructing a police officer.
When asked about Ortega's arrest, ICE Assistant Director for Public Affairs Micah Bock told The Caller, "Any illegal alien ICE finds will be deported. ICE is prioritizing Americans' safety, and that starts with removing these violent criminals from our communities."

A tanker of Russian diesel is headed for New York, the first U.S.-bound cargo under President Donald Trump's deal with Russia.
The Malta-flagged tanker Agioi Fanendes took on 40,000 metric tons of diesel Thursday at Primorsk, a Russian port on the Baltic Sea, and is due in the U.S. Nov. 7, Reuters reported Friday, citing shipping data from the London Stock Exchange Group. Diesel averaged $6.32 a gallon nationally Friday, up from $3.63 a year earlier, according to the American Automobile Association.
"Additional diesel supply is welcome news for farmers, truckers, and families getting hammered at the pump, but one tanker isn't going to solve our diesel supply problems," Jason Isaac, CEO of the American Energy Institute, told the Daily Caller News Foundation in a statement.
The cargo holds almost 300,000 barrels, while Americans use about 3.6 million barrels of diesel a day, Max Pyziur, research director for refining and fuels, natural gas and electricity projects at the Energy Policy Research Foundation, said in a statement to the DCNF.

President Donald Trump's political operation planned to spend money in a competitive House race Thursday after Republicans slashed funding in the district.
The No Going Back PAC, a super PAC backed by MAGA Inc., is pouring more than $25 million into House races, including $6.3 million in Florida's 25th district where they hope to defeat Democratic Florida Rep. Jared Moskowitz, Punchbowl News first reported. The Congressional Leadership Fund, the top House super PAC, slashed $6 million in planned advertising to oppose Moskowitz and redirected $9 million to defend House seats held by Republicans. Authorities in Tucson, Arizona, arrested several minors Tuesday on charges related to the burglary of a city gun store, according to local media.
The Pima County Sheriff's Department stated that the juveniles were involved in an Oct. 8 burglary at SNG Tactical during which a vehicle was rammed into the gun store, KVOA TV, a Tucson-area TV station reported Tuesday. The burglaries at federally-licensed firearms dealers (FFLs) had prompted at least one to place his truck in a blocking position to prevent ramming attacks at his store. China is preparing to establish a regular commercial shipping route through the Arctic, potentially giving Beijing a dramatically shorter path to Europe while reducing its dependence on some of the world's most volatile maritime chokepoints.
Chinese shipping company Sea Legend Line plans to operate eight consecutive voyages between China and Europe through Russia's Northern Sea Route during this year's Arctic navigation season, according to the Financial Times. The first mainline vessel was initially scheduled to depart Ningbo-Zhoushan Port on Aug. 15, although Sea Legend said weather conditions had forced it to adjust the schedule, the Global Times reported.
