The article, published Thursday, was an exclusive excerpt from a book written by Matthew Cole entitled "Princes and Thieves: Jared Kushner and Mohamed bin Zayed's Secret Plot to Remake the Middle East." The excerpt said that sometime between 2017 and 2018, Russian military intelligence was able to hack Kushner's phone.
After Dutch intelligence arranged for British authorities to apprehend a Russian military intelligence operative and offered him the choice of cooperating against the Russians or facing arrest, the operative gave the Dutch access to a Russian intelligence server containing screenshots of Kushner's iPhone. Dutch intelligence later developed its own method of monitoring Kushner's screen as he used his phone.
Cole alleged that Kushner had access to "Alpha" and "Beta" bank accounts connected to leaders of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia.

The Biden administration's Department of Homeland Security (DHS) scheduled Pride Month events during government working hours, including a pansexual forum and LGBTQ educational videos at a federal law enforcement training center, according to records obtained exclusively by the Daily Caller News Foundation.
The 20-page June 2023 calendar details planned events at FEMA, the Secret Service, immigration agencies and other DHS components, according to documents obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request by the Center to Advance Security in America (CASA). President Donald Trump subsequently ordered federal agencies to dismantle diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programs, raising questions about whether the activities documented in the records continued under his administration.
The DCNF asked DHS whether it had discontinued the Biden-era Pride Month programming, whether similar events occurred in 2025 or 2026, and what policy changes the Trump administration implemented regarding DEI initiatives and employee activities. The White House referred to the DHS, which did not respond to a request for comment.

An animal rights group is asking the Hawaii Supreme Court to order the release of two elephants from the Honolulu Zoo in a case that could endanger hunting rights for gun owners.
The Nonhuman Rights Project (NhRP) and lawyers representing the city and county of Honolulu will deliver oral arguments before Hawaii's highest court on Nov. 9, the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) reported. NSSF senior vice president and general counsel Lawrence Keane noted that while this case may only involve relocating two elephants, the implications of their success could extend nationwide. The Trump administration is putting up federal money to restart an idled American refinery and expand others as fuel costs squeeze families.
The Energy Department announced Thursday it will spend as much as $150 million under the Defense Production Act to boost oil output, storage and fuel shipping at U.S. refineries, according to a department release. President Donald Trump signed a determination the same day declaring U.S. oil production, refining and fuel logistics vital to national defense.
"These Defense Production Act funds will be used strategically and in partnership with private industry to rapidly bolster America's existing energy infrastructure," Energy Secretary Chris Wright said in the release.

University of Utah defensive tackle Jamal Wallace was suspended earlier in the month and arrested Oct. 11 over claims he allegedly raped a woman.
The woman, not identified, claimed she and Wallace had been dating off and on, according to a probable cause statement referenced by ESPN. The woman further alleged that when she and Wallace were discussing their relationship Oct. 9 he forced her to perform oral sex on him and then purportedly raped her.
The woman claimed Wallace hit her multiple times, according to the same probable cause statement.

WWE legend Ric Flair was rushed to the hospital Friday after suffering injuries in a fall outside a Florida restaurant.
Sources with direct knowledge of the situation told TMZ that Flair was at Wagamama in Tampa when he stood up from his spot at the bar, left his phone and drink behind, and walked across the street. Once outside, sources claimed Flair collapsed and sustained a facial injury that left him bloodied.
The incident is believed to have unfolded just hours after Flair took to social media to advise fans he was unable to fly due to a blood clot.
