Leftists Push To Get Trump And Rubio Arrested With Anti-Israel Ringleader In Charge

A coalition of Left-wing activists and international attorneys is heading to The Hague next week to demand arrest warrants against President Donald Trump, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and top U.S.

officials over the administration's relationship with Israel.

The delegation, operating under the Taxpayer Alliance Against Genocide (TAAG), plans to hand-deliver a dossier to the International Criminal Court's Office of the Prosecutor on Wednesday. The group accuses the administration of aiding and abetting "war crimes and genocide" in Gaza.

Headlining the presentation is Francesca Albanese, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories. Albanese, who hates Israel, has faced fierce condemnation from Washington and Jewish organizations for rhetoric widely denounced as antisemitic, as well as efforts to pressure American tech firms, including Google, over business ties to Israel.

Last year, Google co-founder Sergey Brin fired back following the U.N. special rapporteur's anti-Israel campaign.

"With all due respect, throwing around the term genocide in relation to Gaza is deeply offensive to many Jewish people who have suffered actual genocides," Brin said. "I would also be careful citing transparently antisemitic organizations like the U.N. in relation to these issues."

The attack on Trump and Rubio is the latest action in the diplomatic war between the Trump administration and the ICC. Neither the United States nor Israel is a party to the Rome Statute, and the White House has repeatedly rejected the court's authority.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced aggressive sanctions against the tribunal in October. He warned foreign allies to rein in the body or watch the U.S. "dismantle the ICC piece by piece." Rubio's reaction came on the heels of the Nobel Committee awarding its 2026 Peace Prize to Navi Pillay, an 85-year-old former ICC judge and prominent critic of Israel who has downplayed Hamas atrocities.

The administration's resistance builds on a February 2025 executive order signed by Trump, which authorized asset freezes and visa bans against ICC personnel. That order came after the court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, as well as past efforts by Hague prosecutors to investigate U.S. armed forces over actions in Afghanistan.

House Republicans passed the Illegitimate Court Counteraction Act in January 2025. House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Brian Mast (R-FL) stated, "I don't care if you are a terrorist in a cave or a lawyer at the Hague, if you get in the way of bringing American hostages home, then you will be given no quarter and you damn well shouldn't expect to be welcomed on American soil with open arms."

The ICC's governing body has advanced disciplinary proceedings against its top prosecutor, Karim Khan, following a United Nations inquiry that found basis for sexual misconduct allegations against him. Audio recordings reviewed by federal investigators led to allegations that Qatari intermediaries offered to protect Khan if he moved forward with warrants against Israeli leaders.
