Crime families aren’t new in New York, but when the mother is a deputy police commissioner, it’s definitely a new twist.

Mount Vernon, New York, a city in Westchester County just north of New York City’s borough of The Bronx, was rocked this week by a criminal complaint that accused a high-ranking official in its police department of helping her gang-banging son try to assassinate a rival, according to the New York Post.

Now, she’s on the other side of the criminal justice system.

EKKL Entertainment’s new film, “Elijah Peel,” tells the story of a rock star who hits bottom, only to bounce back through the glory of God, as he forms an unlikely friendship that makes him a better man.

Peel, played by Robert Malcolm Cumming, is a successful musician leading a hedonistic lifestyle of addiction and excess. It all comes to a screeching halt, however, after he suffers a heart attack. Trump Tips His Hand on His Pick for 2028 in Closed-Door Donor Meeting: Report

As of August 2026, President Donald Trump’s endorsement still carries substantial weight inside the Republican Party.

Thus, anyone who earns that endorsement enjoys a significant advantage in all GOP primaries.

According to The Washington Post, Trump told donors in a private Oval Office meeting late last month that they should rally around Vice President J.D. Vance as the party’s presidential nominee in 2028.

“At the end of the day, we need to elect J.D.,” Trump said in that meeting.

The Post cited two anonymous sources “with knowledge of the comments.”

Likewise, one of the president’s advisers, who knew of the comments

The Coca-Cola Company has a new promotion available online for its popular soft drink where customers can customize messages featured on a can or bottle.

If you thought the marketing executives behind this idea would allow expressions of faith or politics to be featured, you would be wrong.

But what they will allow are phrases so absolutely vile that whoever orders them should be on a watchlist.

Upon visiting the website and selecting a Coke product to personalize, users will be met with a text box.

If a banned word or phrase is used, the following message will appear:

“The name or phrase you’ve submitted is

NYPD Hate Crimes Unit Investigating After Attack on Church's Mary Statue Is Caught on Camera

A statue of the Virgin Mary outside a New York City Catholic church was smashed in the latest attack on the church.

The incident took place at 1:40 a.m. Sunday at St. Rita's Roman Catholic Church in Dutch Kills, Queens, according to the New York Post.

Video showed a man wearing shorts and a T-shirt, with a mask covering much of his face, jumping over a fence to reach the churchyard.

Once there, he took a hammer to the statue until it fell into a wall, causing the head of the statue to fall off.

The statue fell off the pedestal upon which it had been placed.

You never know who you’re going to encounter in a road rage incident. It could even be a professional fighter with four knockouts on his record.

A highway in Queensland, Australia, was the scene for one unlucky angry driver after he got out of his vehicle only to find a professional Muay Thai fighter confronting him. The fighter stepped in, leaving his vehicle after seeing the driver confront two women driving by themselves.

7News reported that 19-year-old Ryan McDonald wanted to assist the women after witnessing the incident while driving home from a camping trip with some friends. McDonald said he saw one of the women try to merge several times, but the man, driving a white van, would not let her.

When the two vehicles came upon a traffic stop, the van’s driver exited, angrily pulling at the driver’s side door of the other vehicle.
