The White House is firing back after former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene made an absolutely wild claim about the ongoing war in Iran.

In a lengthy post on X, Greene claimed that the Trump administration is actively discussing nuking Iran.

“I’m not speculating,” she wrote, “I know.”

The last time a nuclear weapon was used was August 6th and 9th of 1945 on two cities in Japan, Hiroshima and Nagasaki, immediately killing 110,000 people, vaporizing people at ground zero, and total deaths reached 214,000 by the end of the year from severe burns and trauma.

The House Ethics Committee said on Monday it’s reviewing allegations that Rep. Jimmy Gomez (D-CA) "may have engaged in sexual misconduct in violation of the Code of Official Conduct.”

The allegations include "engaging in inappropriate sexual contact with a House staffer."

"The Committee notes that the mere fact that it is investigating these allegations, and publicly disclosing its review, does not itself indicate that any violation has occurred," a joint statement from Reps. Michael Guest (R-MS) and Mark DeSaulnier (D-CA) read.

"No other public comment will be made on this matter except in accordance with Committee rules," the statement added.

NBC News shared further:

The married Gomez, who formed a Congressional Dads Caucus back in 2023, said in a statement that he had "made personal mistakes outside my marriage" and would cooperate with the probe.

"Although my actions were consensual in nature and haven't violated the law or House Ethics rules, that doesn't diminish the impact

Among some on the left, it appears a hatred for President Donald Trump has morphed into a desire to destroy property in D.C. including the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool and World War II Memorial. 

Trump has roundly denounced all of the previous acts of vandalism, and took to social media this week to call out yet another.

As The Hill reported: 

"Look what VANDALS did to the grass connecting the vandalized World War II Monument and the vandalized Reflecting Pool, which will be opened again, and better than ever, shortly," he wrote.

"Anybody who thinks the Reflecting Pool wasn't vandalized should go back to Law School," the president added.  

The comment came days after U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro's announcement of charges against Melissa L. Farris, who was accused of vandalizing the World War II Memorial after "Clean hands dirty $" was found written in graffiti on the monument.

President Trump put a US ally firmly in the hot seat this morning.

And as I researched this story, I was reminded that this wasn’t the first time this Mideast nation has been called out and threatened with attack!

The President said during a phone interview with Fox News’ foreign correspondent Trey Yingst that Oman could find itself in the crosshairs of the US military.

The point of conflict is (drum roll) the Strait of Hormuz, and Oman’s ongoing attempts at reaching an agreement apart from US involvement were the catalyst for the President’s anger.

A Kentucky man was sentenced to over two years in prison for making violent threats against Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and other lawmakers.

“Benjamin Keebler, 55, of Florence, will serve two and a half years in federal prison, which was handed down in Covington by U.S. District Court Judge David Bunning,” Lexington Herald Leader reports.

Keebler pleaded guilty in March to cyberstalking and threatening communications.

While Massie, who represents Kentucky's 4th Congressional District, is not named in the court documents, prosecutors said Keebler made threatening calls and voicemails to numbers associated with Massie. That included calling Massie's offices in Washington, D.C., which happened over more than a two-year period starting in 2023.

Keebler also threatened a senator, whose office is based in Nebraska, saying someone should do a "hammer visit" at the senator's house. The senator is not named in the court documents.

Prosecutors said Keebler intended to harass Massie and his staff. In court filings, prosecutors said Keebler's calls and threats were motivated by his disagreement with the lawmakers' beliefs.

I suppose it would be one thing if the idea was that her parents had nothing to do with this and they’re just as distraught as anyone else, so this is to help them out.  Maybe, I guess I could maybe understand that.

A family night at the Wisconsin State Fair descended into chaos when a violent mob began brawling through the fairgrounds, sending parents and children running for safety.

Video from the final hours of the fair shows groups fighting near the rides, people being knocked to the pavement, and terrified fairgoers scrambling to get away.

Police say one officer was punched in the face. Seven people were arrested in connection with the disturbances, and a member of the fair’s security team was also injured.

WISN 12 News reports that the trouble erupted late Sunday near Spin City, the portion of the fairgrounds containing the rides. By 10 p.m., the station saw multiple mounted officers positioned near the north entrance.

Dispatch audio revealed just how quickly the situation overwhelmed the area. An officer called for anyone available to be sent to Spin City as police tried to regain control.
