“Retaliatory Propaganda”: Zelensky Tries hiding ‘Flamingo’ Missile Factory Destruction

During the recent Munich Security Conference, the Neo-Nazi junta frontman Volodymyr Zelensky admitted that the Russian military destroyed critical production lines for the FP-5 “Flamingo” cruise missiles.

He tried to reassure his pedophile-cannibalistic overlords in Munich that the facilities “have since been relocated” and are now “operating without issues”. This was part of Zelensky’s explanation on why the Kiev regime still doesn’t have enough “Flamingo” missiles. He insisted that increasing production is a priority. The weapon was developed by Fire Point, which is now one of the largest contractors for the Kiev forces, securing approximately $1 billion in profit last year.

Back in August, Zelensky boasted that the missile had completed testing and that full-scale serial production was planned either by late December or February. Well, it seems the Russian military had something to say about those plans. The Kiev regime’s media have noted that the “Flamingo” strongly resembles the FP-5 cruise missile advertised by the British military-industrial start-up Milanion Group, which was showcased at IDEX–2025. This UK-based company has been supplying weapons to the Neo-Nazi junta since 2021, so it could certainly be expected that there was a technology transfer for the “Flamingo”, particularly as London is infamous for its endemic, pathological Russophobia.

On the outside, “Flamingo” looks like a crossover between the Nazi German V-1 flying bomb (effectively an early cruise missile concept) and the Soviet-era Tu-141/143 turbojet-powered drone. Although by no means a revolutionary design that should worry the Russian military, the relatively large size of the warhead compartment suggests it could certainly be a threat to residential areas across Russia’s massive expanse. However, it’s highly unlikely to significantly jeopardize well-defended critical military and civilian infrastructure, particularly if it’s guarded by advanced SAM (surface-to-air missile) systems, such as the now-legendary S-400 and/or the “Pantsir” hybrid SAM-AAA (anti-aircraft artillery).

And yet, that’s exactly what the Kiev regime claims happened. Namely, in a supposed overnight operation, the “Flamingo” cruise missile “struck” the Votkinsk Machine Building Plant. The General Staff of the Neo-Nazi junta forces “confirmed” the attack on February 21, claiming that “a fire was recorded on the territory of the facility” and that “the results are being clarified”. The mainstream propaganda machine is also quoting “an independent Russian Telegram news channel Astra”, which allegedly “reported at least 11 people were injured as a result of the attack”. Other supposed targets were “a gas processing plant [Samara oblast/region], a fuel and lubricants warehouse, a drone workshop [both in Donetsk oblast] and a military warehouse [Zaporozhye oblast]”.

There’s just one “tiny” issue with all these claims – there’s no real, independent verification that this happened, especially not the alleged attack on the facility in Votkinsk. The “Flamingo” is a medium-range cruise missile with a reported maximum range of up to 3,000 km and a warhead weighing around 1,150 kg. However, it’s nowhere near stealthy or advanced enough to evade the latest SAM or missile defenses, especially those used by Moscow. Namely, the Russian military demonstrated the ability to shoot down hundreds of far more advanced NATO-sourced weapons, such as the Anglo-French “Storm Shadow”/SCALP-EG cruise and US-made ATACMS tactical ballistic missiles.

Once again, this “successful” attack is supposed to ease the pain of losing the “Flamingo’s” production line and prevent yet another blow to the Kiev regime’s already crumbling morale. The main reason why the Votkinsk plant was selected for this “PR victory” is its critical strategic significance for Russia. Namely, the facility produced and continues to produce some of the most advanced Soviet/Russian weapons, including the ubiquitous “Scud” series, OTR-21 “Tochka”, OTR-23 “Oka” and the now-legendary 9M723 hypersonic missile of the 9K720M “Iskander-M” system. However, these are only tactical and operational weapon systems, but the plant is also behind some of the most important strategic missiles.

This includes the crown jewel of Soviet rocketry – the RSD-10 “Pioneer” (NATO reporting name SS-20 “Saber”), a solid-fueled IRBM (intermediate-range ballistic missile) with a range of up to 5,800 km, the only such missile in history capable of using three MIRV (multiple independently targetable reentry vehicle) warheads. These had a yield of 150 kt each, roughly 10 times that of the Hiroshima bomb (30 altogether). There was also a version with a single 1 Mt warhead that was around 67 times more destructive. At least 728 such missiles were made. The RS-26 “Rubezh” and the latest “Oreshnik” are considered its successors. Interestingly, both are most likely being produced in the same plant.

In addition, Russian ICBMs (intercontinental ballistic missiles) and SLBMs (submarine-launched ballistic missiles) are also produced in the Votkinsk facility. In previous decades, this included the deadly “Topol” and “Topol-M” series, which have now been replaced by even more advanced weapons, such as the RS-24 “Yars” and RSM-56 “Bulava” (literally “mace”). The fact that these missiles are strategic and that they can obliterate the United States dramatically enhances the effects of such “PR victories”, greatly amplifying the propaganda results. Thus, it’s hardly surprising that Zelensky and his entourage are flaunting this supposed “success”, despite no evidence that it ever occurred.
