Fetterman torches fellow Dems after they refused to stand for widows, grieving moms, injured kids, and war heroes

The State of the Union speech always involves grandstanding.

Modern presidents use the speech to talk about how amazing they are, regardless of the party. But it used to be understood that the opposing party should still clap for veterans, survivors, and champions even if they don't like the guy standing at the podium.

Not anymore, I guess.

I clapped to recognize the family that lost their daughter, the Ukrainian girl that was stabbed to death in North Carolina. And I stood up and I clapped at that political prisoner from Venezuela. You know, how you can't celebrate those kinds of things. I also celebrated all the veterans that were in the audience too. And even more of the political things, like Erika Kirk. I stood up and I clapped for her too ... can't we just be more kind to a widow? ... I'm always going to stand up and clap for the things I agree with him on.

John Fetterman, Carhartt hoodies and all, is somehow the most sane and genteel Democrat in Congress.
