Iowa Capitol to host another Satanic display just before Democrat becomes governor

Iowa Capitol to host another Satanic display just before Democrat becomes governor

Not only did Iowa vote in Democrat Rob Sand as their new governor, but they'll also get to experience the joys of another Satanic holiday party in their capitol rotunda thanks to a Federal judge.

Back in 2024, the Republican-led cabinet canceled the Satanic holiday party at the capitol for being harmful to minors and has denied every application since then.

But Obama-appointed Chief District Judge Stephanie M. Rose has overruled that decision.

The Associated Press reports,

Chief District Judge Stephanie M. Rose said in her order that the Satanic Temple was likely to succeed on its free speech claim and ordered the current director of the Iowa Department of Administrative Services to approve the group's application for a holiday event within seven days.

The judge says that Satanism might have some rituals that might be harmful to minors like abortion and gender transition, and I mean, sure, it's not a real religion but rather a mockery of religion, but apparently the Founding Fathers would be fine with celebrating Krampus, who fills a big red bag with kidnapped children before eating, drowning, or dragging them to hell!

The judge said,

Concern that the Krampus character may frighten children is 'not a permissible basis for excluding speech,' adding that concern surrounding sticks being carried as part of costumes 'cannot justify denying the entire event.' She said the state department could impose the same conditions it applies to other events on the Satanic Temple's event, saying props remain subject to the building's regular security screening.

So break out the peppermint and the hot cocoa, Iowans; the Satanists are back.
