Though the department did not issue a press release on the incident until Monday, it allegedly took place on October 24.

High Crimes v2 336x280

The department received a report of a truck being stolen while parked at the Irving gas station in Sherman.

Investigators obtained security footage from nearby businesses and identified two suspects.

The suspects were identified as a 60-year-old Reed Plantation man and a 41-year-old woman from Sherman.

Both were arrested and charged with theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and theft by unauthorized use.

The Sheriff’s Department conspicuously failed to name either of the suspects, and gave no indication of why they chose to protect their identities.

The truck was not recovered when the suspects were taken into custody, and deputies are requesting assistance in locating it.

It is described as a green short bed 1994 GMC with a license plate 628LRJ. Anyone with knowledge of its whereabouts is encouraged to call the Sheriff’s Department.
