At approximately 1:44 a.m., Bangor officers responded to reports of an altercation outside a bar on Franklin Street.
An officer allegedly saw a man run up to a victim and push him from behind.
The officer arrested the man and identified him as Detrayvious Calvin, 30, of Bangor.
After arresting Calvin, the officer allegedly saw an unconscious woman lying on the ground and bleeding from her face.
Investigation revealed that the woman allegedly attempted to break up a fight when Calvin struck her in the face.
Emergency medical services transported the woman to the hospital for treatment.
Calvin was charged with assault and disorderly conduct, and was transported to the Penobscot County Jail.
He no longer appears in jail records as of Wednesday morning, meaning that he has since been released on bail.
According to what appears to be Calvin’s LinkedIn page, he works as a “cafeteria associate” at the Eastern Maine Medical Center.
