To be fair to (some of) the New Yorkers, the festivities in Washington Square Park seemed to be an honest-to-goodness snowball fight before a few punks decided to target the local beat cops.

CBS 2 reports that the NYPD is calling for arrests.

The NYPD commish said an investigation is ongoing, which is PR-speak for "no one is getting arrested and nothing is going to change, but we're gonna put up a stink about it."
