Two days after the polls closed, the Alaska Senate race is still too close to call.
At the time of writing this, Democrat Mary Peltola leads incumbent Sen. Dan Sullivan by a razor-thin margin.
But, those aren't the only two candidates in the running…
It's now being reported that Democrat operatives recruited not one, but two, fake candidates to split the votes.
Along with the "decoy" Daniel J. Sullivan, another spoiler candidate named Gerald Heikes was incentivized to run.
The New York Times reported:
Mr. Heikes, a drywall contractor, said in an interview that he was recruited to run for Senate this spring "by a guy from the Midwest." The man, whose name Mr. Heikes did not remember, first reached him on the phone, then met with him at a deli in his hometown of Palmer, Alaska. Mr. Heikes did not think he resembled the photo of Mr. Kurtz."He said, 'Hey, if you go and file to run for Senate, we'll back you — we can't give you money or anything, but we'll make things happen for you,'" Mr. Heikes said.Mr. Heikes, who has said before that he believed God was telling him to run for office, decided after the meeting to run for the Senate.
Infuriatingly, it appears that the Democrat ploy is working.
Heikes and the "fake" Dan Sullivan have received 4% of the vote — enough to sway the race.

BREAKING — The New York Times reports that there's a SECOND spoiler candidate in Alaska's Senate Race: Gerald Heikes
Both Dan J. Sullivan and Gerald Heikes were reportedly recruited to sway the electorate.
Combined, the two have 8,400 votes, a total large enough to sway the final result.
The race remains within roughly 700 votes.
Mary Peltola is sitting near 103,000 votes in the Alaska Senate race, while Sen. Dan Sullivan trails with 102,300, with Gerald Heikes at 4,800 and Dan J. Sullivan at 3,600.
Now, Alaska still has to count around 20% of the ballots.
But, if the race stays as close as it is, then Sullivan could be cheated out of a fair win.
Some voters have already admitted they were confused by the ballot and may have accidentally voted for the wrong Dan Sullivan — which is exactly what Democrats intended.
Fox News has more on the situation:
While Alaska still has a quarter of its votes to count, according to the AP, if the gap between Peltola and Sullivan remains this slim, the introduction of a second candidate named Dan Sullivan will loom large in post-election analyses.
In July, the U.S. Justice Department opened an investigation into Daniel J. Sullivan, a retired schoolteacher who entered the Senate race in May.
An October report from The New York Times said Daniel J. Sullivan had met with Democratic operatives and members of Peltola's campaign staff to encourage him to run. Peltola has denied any involvement in the scheme.
One voter interviewed after he cast his ballot Tuesday revealed that he believed he accidentally voted for the wrong Dan Sullivan.
"I don't remember seeing the other Dan Sullivan, I totally forgot to look for two Dan Sullivans," the bewildered voter revealed. "I definitely intended to vote for the real Dan Sullivan."
As of Thursday morning, Daniel J. Sullivan, aka "Decoy Dan," had garnered 3,600 votes from Alaskans, a number that's more than five times larger than the 637-vote margin separating Sen. Sullivan and Peltola.
Under Alaska's ranked choice voting system, if no candidate achieves a 50% share of the vote, the candidate with the fewest votes is eliminated and voters who chose that candidate first will have their votes redirected to their second choice.
President Trump has proposed a solution to the mess in Alaska…
In a post on Truth Social, President Trump demanded that the votes cast for the two spoiler candidates be given to Sen. Dan Sullivan.
If that happened, the race could be called. Read his full post here:
The vote totals for the Fake Dan Sullivan, plus the other "slug" that the Dems put on the Ballot, should be immediately given to the REAL Dan Sullivan, and the Election is over – He easily wins. There is no other fair solution! President DJT
Meanwhile, Sen. Dan Sullivan is speaking out, saying multiple people told him they mistakenly voted for his "decoy" opponent.

What do you think?
Should the votes given to "Decoy Dan" be handed to the real Dan Sullivan?
Here's what folks are saying online:
This would stand to reason considering voters probably thought they were voting for him anyway.

Or they need to redo the election . These people should be put in prison. Where is our DOJ
