While Democrats across the nation performed well during Tuesday's midterm elections, their policy prescriptions didn't appear to fare as well.
In Arizona, for instance, voters approved a conservative ballot measure that'll ban "transgender" students from using their preferred locker room and pronouns, according to NPR member radio station KJZZ.
"Prop. 318 was referred to the ballot by state Republican lawmakers earlier this year, and was opposed by legislative Democrats," the station reported.
The ballot measure passed with 58 percent of the vote, despite Democratic Gov. Katie Hobbs having vetoed similar legislative measures in the past.
Arizona voters have PASSED Proposition 318, which bans transgender students from girls' sports and sets who can use school locker rooms, bathrooms and showers by s*x at birth — The vote was 58.9% to 41.1%, and the law takes effect January 1.

The measure also passed despite Democratic lawmakers winning a "trifecta" of positions in the traditionally "red" but recently "purple" state.
Not only did Arizona voters re-elect Hobbs, the same governor who believes "transgender" students should be allowed to use whichever locker room and pronouns they desire, but they also granted Democrats full control of the Arizona Legislature for the first time in 60 years.
"Arizona Democrats last held majorities in the Senate in 1992 and the House in 1966," according to Glendale commercial radio station KTAR-FM.
"Democrats' last trifecta (control of governor's office and both chambers of the Legislature) in Arizona was in 1966," the station's report continued.
WELL WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT…

But according to Kyle Clark, a reporter for Denver, Colorado, news station KUSA, there may be a massive catch to voters electing Democratic lawmakers into office while also voting for conservative policy prescriptions.
In his state of Colorado, Democratic lawmakers won not only a "trifecta" but also a supermajority in their legislature. Yet just like in Arizona, Colorado voters approved several conservative measures targeting not only "transgender" students in sports but also "transgender" surgery for kids.
Commenting on this strange dichotomy in a post published on the social media site X, Clark explained how this voter strategy might backfire.
"Democrats in the state leg could weaken the rules" of the state's new "transgender" bans now that they have power, he warned.

In fact, some suspect this may happen in many other states as well, including the far-left liberal bastion of Washington State, where voters approved a measure to keep girls' sports reserved for girls and boys' sports for boys.
Washington State has held a Democratic "trifecta" continuously since 2018 and also has a Democratic triplex comprised of its Democratic governor, attorney general, and secretary of state.
It remains unclear whether the newly passed measures in Arizona, Colorado, and Washington will survive the states' Democratic lawmakers, the majority of whom have voiced deep support for the "transgender" community.
