AOC’s Woke 1.0 and Woke 2.0

Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (AOC) and her long-time boyfriend have broken up. Apparently that boyfriend is NOT a socialist. We are guessing that may have had something to do with it because AOC, like too many in the Democrat Party, has been drifting even further left. 

She was once a outspoken adherent of Woke-ism, but in a recent interview she giggled about it and said,  "Woke 1 was crazy!" Maybe it was an attempt to dismiss and distance herself from the pandemic-era progressive rhetoric which now attracts angry ridicule.

Woke 2.0 is more forceful. It's not just about 'taxing the rich,' (who already pay the vast majority of taxes), but it actually advocates for wide open borders, abolishing the police and emptying prisons, ending the Electoral College and the Senate in favor of mob rule—and and even nationalizing corporations. Private property is always at risk around socialists. They even want to destroy the white middle class. Racism is apparently OK when socialists do it.

Will AOC also begin speaking out against national holidays and even football? That remains to be seen, but she might run for president now that Gavin Newsom has flopped. Still, it's hard to take her seriously and some politicos think she should stay in Congress.
