An investigation by North Carolina authorities into the fire that killed NASCAR star Denny Hamlin’s father has concluded.
On December 28, the home of Dennis and Mary Lou Hamlin caught fire.
As emergency services arrived on the scene, the couple was spotted in the front yard with significant injuries.
Dennis Hamlin, 75, succumbed to his injuries, but his wife, Mary Lou, survived.
Since the fire, Gaston County Emergency Management and Fire Services have been investigating the incident for the past month and have concluded their investigation, ruling the fire “accidental.”
However, the investigation concluded without ever determining what sparked the blaze in the couple’s bedroom.

The North Carolina house fire that killed NASCAR driver Denny Hamlin’s father and injured his mother has been ruled accidental but it’s still unclear what started it.
A report released by Gaston County Emergency Management & Fire Services said the Dec. 28 fire at the two-story home originated in a bedroom, but the “cause of ignition” is “undetermined.”
Otherwise, the investigation determined the fire as accidental, Gaston County spokesperson Adam Gaub wrote in an email Friday.
Hamlin’s parents, Dennis and Mary Lou Hamlin were found outside the home the evening of the fire suffering from catastrophic injuries, officials said. Dennis Hamlin, 75, later died, while his wife survived.
The home, located near Stanley about 20 miles (32 kilometers) northwest of Charlotte, was owned by a company that listed Denny Hamlin as its manager, according to government records.
Following the death of his father, Hamlin took to X to write, “Thank you to everyone who has reached out with condolences on my father’s passing.”
He added, “My mother continues to improve, and our family truly appreciates the outpouring of support and the respect for our privacy during this time.”
Despite enduring a personal tragedy, Hamlin was able to get a much-needed smile last Sunday after the car he co-owns with Michael Jordan won the Daytona 500.

The threats appear to stem from the transgender community and its supporters.
The shooting left eight dead and 25 injured.
The shooter, 18-year-old Jesse Van Rootselaar, a biological male living as a “woman,” died from a self-inflicted gunshot.

Smith was a vibrant young girl who loved art, anime, and figure skating, with aspirations to attend art school in Toronto. She was one of six victims killed at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School, alongside fellow 12-year-olds Abel Mwansa, Zoey Benoit, and her close friend Ticaria Lampert, 13-year-old Ezekiel Schofield, and 39-year-old teacher Shannda Aviugana-Durand.

The rampage began when Rootselaar killed his own mother and half-brother at home before targeting the school.
Police had visited Van Rootselaar’s home multiple times prior due to mental health issues, and reports reveal the shooter discussed violent scenarios with AI chatbots like ChatGPT.
The death threats against Kylie’s family, and her parents, Lance Younge and Jenny Geary, have surfaced both online and locally, leading the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) to investigate.
“The RCMP is aware of threats that have circulated online and within the community and we can confirm that an investigation is under way. A safety plan is in place for the individual(s) and community as the investigation continues,” the RCMP said in a statement.
In a heart-wrenching statement shared via the Tumbler Ridge Chamber of Commerce, Kylie’s father said:
“We are SO SORRY we had to cancel Kylie’s service today. We saw how hard everyone was working on it… From what we are hearing, we are at least the third family of the deceased to be harassed or threatened by people from their past since this awful tragedy took place.”
“We saw how beautiful the space was looking. So many people were working tirelessly to make the most lovely service for our girl. The caterers, the businesses that were closing out of respect, the people who took time off work, we are so sorry. We couldn’t risk any more violence in this amazing town.”
The statement concluded, “Mostly, we are sorry to you Kylie. Our girl. This was supposed to be your day. I promise we will give you the most lovely, beautiful event when the time is right. We love you so much and will do right by you. I promise.”
The RCMP has implemented a safety plan, relocating the family to a secure location, and confirmed that multiple families are facing similar harassment.
Thousands gathered in Lyon on Saturday to demand justice following the murder of 23-year-old conservative Catholic student Quentin Deranque.
Deranque suffered a fatal brain injury after being beaten by Antifa thugs as he was providing informal protection for a protest of the identitarian-feminist Collectif Némésis.

Seven individuals have been charged in connection with the attack, which took place on the margins of a protest targeting far-left MEP Rima Hassan at Sciences Po Lyon.
According to local media, several of the suspects are believed to have ties to the Young Guard Antifa group established in Lyon in 2018 by La France Insoumise (LFI) lawmaker Raphaël Arnault.
Among those charged include Jacques-Elie Favrot, a parliamentary assistant to Arnault, and Adrian Besseyre, who previously worked for the MP.

The case has drawn national attention to the violence of the far-left, who bring violence with them everywhere they go.
Authorities reported that at least 3,200 demonstrators took part in Saturday’s march, held under the banner “Justice for Quentin.”
Chants heard during the rally included “LFI complicit, Antifa murderers” and “Young Guard in prison, free the city of Lyon.”

National Rally leader Jordan Bardella advised his party not to participate in the demonstrations.
Additional rallies were reported in Rennes, Brest, Saint-Brieuc, and Châteauroux.
Despite tensions and the presence of counter-protesters, the demonstrations were peaceful and ended without major incident.

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Rondale Moore was found dead on Saturday.
The New Albany Police Department reported that Rondale Moore, 25, was found inside his garage with a suspected self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Moore was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the second round in 2021, where he spent three seasons before being traded to the Atlanta Falcons.
As a Falcon, he was unable to suit up for the 2024 season due to an injury and later signed with the Minnesota Vikings for the 2025 season, where he also suffered a season-ending injury.

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Rondale Moore has died at the age of 25, authorities reported Saturday.
Moore was found dead in the garage of a home in New Albany, Indiana, the New Albany Police Department said. The cause of death was believed to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police disclosed. An investigation was underway, and no further details were provided.
“We are deeply saddened by the passing of Rondale Moore,” the Vikings said in a statement. “While we are working to understand the facts, we have spoken with Rondale’s family to offer our condolences and the full support of the Minnesota Vikings.”
Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell said in his own statement that he was “devastated” by Moore’s death, describing him as a “humble, soft-spoken, and respectful young man who was proud of his Indiana roots.”
Dozens of former teammates shared memories of Rondale on X.

JPMorgan Chase has formally admitted that it terminated more than 50 accounts connected to President Donald Trump and his business operations in the wake of the January 6th protest.
The admission came in court filings responding to a lawsuit filed by Trump and the Trump Organization.
The suit names JPMorgan and its CEO, Jamie Dimon, of debanking the president as part of an orchestrated political attack.
According to documents submitted to the court, the closures affected accounts tied to Trump hotels, real estate projects, and retail ventures in multiple states, as well as his longstanding private banking relationship.
That relationship had handled personal financial matters, including assets linked to his inheritance.
The bank’s internal correspondence, included in the filing, does not cite a specific violation or financial irregularity.
In a letter dated February 2021, JPMorgan informed Trump that he would need to “find a more suitable institution with which to conduct business.”
“Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter,” it concluded.
The lawsuit alleges the bank “needed to distance itself from President Trump and his conservative political views,” effectively placing him on a blacklist.
“In essence, [JP Morgan] debanked plaintiffs’ accounts because it believed that the political tide at the moment favored doing so,” the lawsuit states.

Until now, JPMorgan had avoided directly confirming that it closed Trump’s accounts.
In previous statements, the bank dismissed the lawsuit as meritless and said it generally closes accounts that create “legal or regulatory risk for the company.”
“President Trump is standing up for all those wrongly debanked by JPMorgan Chase and their cohorts, and will see this case to a just and proper conclusion,” a Trump spokesperson told The New York Times.

JPMorgan recently asked that the case be transferred from the Florida state court to the federal court in New York in the hope that a liberal judge will dismiss the case.
“While we regret President Trump has sued us, we believe the suit has no merit,” a company spokesperson said at the time.
In addition to being ugly, the new Obama presidential center is going to be a massive financial burden on the people of Chicago.
They were sold a bill of goods about how the center was going to bring tourism and revenue to the city, but not so much about the costs.

When the project was approved in 2018, Obama pledged to privately fund construction of the expansive 19.3-acre campus in historic Jackson Park through donations to the Obama Foundation – a commitment that remains in place as the center’s construction continues to be privately financed.
But the extensive infrastructure required to make the campus operationally viable — including redesigned roads, stormwater systems, and relocated utilities — is publicly financed, and without those changes, the center could not function.
At the time, projections placed public infrastructure costs at roughly $350 million, split between the state of Illinois and the city of Chicago.
Eight years later, the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) told Fox News Digital that approximately $229 million in infrastructure spending was tied to the site, up from its earlier estimate of roughly $174 million.
The $229 million figure reflects state-managed spending, which may include federal transportation funds routed through IDOT.
The report goes on to state that the agencies which are supposed to be overseeing the accounting on the project are not being upfront with taxpayers and are providing ‘estimates’ of ongoing costs.

New York City’s new Democratic Socialist (communist) Mayor Zohran Mamdani has allocated an insane amount of money in the city’s budget to take care of people in the country illegally. It’s more than a billion dollars.
This might have something to do with why he is having such a hard time funding the budget, if you think about it.
During a recent episode of his podcast, Joe Rogan called him out over this, referring to Mamdani as a ‘f**king psychopath.’

Mamdani’s fiscal year 2027 budget proposal published on Tuesday allocated an additional $1.2 billion for migrants coming to New York City, the New York Post reported. Rogan said on his show that the spending on migrants was “crazy.”
Rogan’s guest Michael Malice said it was necessary to spend money on feeding migrants so they do not steal from stores.
“Human beings need food. What are you going to do?” Malice asked.
“Get them jobs,” Rogan replied.
Malice asked how the process of getting a migrant a job would work.
“Get him a job in Guatemala,” Rogan joked.
“Wouldn’t you rather give them food than a job?” Malice asked. “I don’t want them taking American citizens’ jobs.”
Rogan and Malice agreed that the system was a complete “mess.” Malice said it was impossible to “throw [migrants] away.”
“Unless you’re going to remove them from the country,” Rogan said.

Zohran Mamdani can’t even manage snow and trash removal in the city. Perhaps he should focus on the basics of city management before he starts trying to spend more than a billion in tax dollars on people who shouldn’t even be here in the first place.
