Ben Bankas is the conservative stand-up comedian that the left loves to hate. If you’re not familiar, he is a very funny guy.

As the Gateway Pundit reported a few weeks ago, Bankas was set to do some shows at a Minneapolis comedy club but they canceled his appearance due to backlash from the left. Unfortunately for them, the canceled shows had the opposite effect.

Since then, he has picked up more shows and a ton of new followers.

He was recently interviewed by Breitbart News:

Breitbart News sat down with comedian Ben Bankas to discuss the left’s attempts to cancel him over his comedy and how those attempts actually grew his brand and his audience…

Bankas said, “The cancellation was one venue where we were going to do six shows, no one else canceled in America.”

He noted there was pushback in Canada, which is where he is from originally, and he pointed out, “They are extremely sensitive to anything that’s offensive.”

But Bankas explained that predominant reaction was positive, saying, “We added hundreds of thousands of new followers. People who already knew who I was but they were like, ‘Now I really want to follow this guy.’ We actually added way more shows than those six shows that were canceled, and they were added in way more markets.”

He continued, “In January 2026 I had, I think, 121 million views on Facebook and on Instagram there were somewhere between 30 and 50 million. So obviously, people like my comedy.”

“The Democrat-liberal thing on all this is, whenever someone is doing well with something they don’t agree with, they make it into this whole thing that it’s evil, it’s bad, when at the end of the day it’s art,” Bankas said.

It is hilarious that angry liberals who wanted to cancel this guy actually ended up increasing the size of his audience.

It’s a classic case of leftist hypocrisy. They have SNL and every single late night show, but that’s just not enough. Anyone who criticizes them must be silenced.

California Governor Gavin Newsom recently appeared on Jim Clyburn’s podcast and suggested that we can’t pass the SAVE Act which would require voter IDs because no one, including him, would be able to find their birth certificates.

As an aside, why does Jim Clyburn have a podcast? Like, why is that even a thing?

Anyway, Newsom’s point is stupid, and so is Clyburn’s follow up. He falls back onto the ridiculous Democrat talking point about women being unable to get valid IDs because they changed their name when they got married.

Democrats think that being ignorant of the law or just plain stupid means we can never enact certain laws, specifically laws that Democrats don’t like. The latest target of their feigned ignorance and stupidity is the SAVE Act, which would require voters to prove they are American citizens in order to vote in American federal elections. Democrats believe that not only are Black, poor, and women voters too incapable of getting an ID (something they need for almost every facet of life), but now they’re pretending they too just have no idea how to keep track of vital records like birth certificates.

Gavin Newsom wants to be the next president, but we don’t think that office should be held by someone who doesn’t know where his birth certificate is.

Gavin Newsom just flew to Munich for a conference and then returned to California. How did he get on a plane without an ID? How do married women get on planes every single day all over the country if their IDs don’t match their married names?

None of the Democrat arguments against voter ID hold any water because everyone had IDs these days. You can’t do anything without a valid ID.

The only reason Democrats oppose voter ID is because they know it will hurt their efforts to cheat in elections. That’s it. That is the only reason they oppose it and everyone, including them, knows it.

A federal grand jury has indicted three engineers for stealing hundreds of confidential files from Google and other tech giants, then smuggling the sensitive data to Iran.

The defendants, Samaneh Ghandali, 41, a U.S. citizen; her sister Soroor Ghandali, 32, an Iranian national on a student visa; and Samaneh’s husband Mohammadjavad Khosravi, 40, an Iranian national and legal permanent resident, were all residents of San Jose at the time of the theft.

Samaneh and Soroor previously worked at Google before joining another unnamed tech firm, while Khosravi, a former member of the Iranian army, was employed at a developer of system-on-chip (SoC) platforms, such as Qualcomm’s Snapdragon series used in high-end Android phones and Apple’s iPhones.

Charged with conspiracy to commit trade secret theft, theft, and attempted theft of trade secrets, and obstruction of justice, the trio allegedly exploited their insider access to steal processor security, cryptography materials, and Snapdragon SoC hardware architecture secrets that serve as valuable intel not readily available to competitors.

The trio routed the files through third-party platforms like Telegram, copied them to personal devices, and even photographed computer screens to dodge digital monitoring.

In a particularly brazen move, just before Samaneh and Khosravi jetted off to Iran in December 2023, she snapped photos of his work screen displaying company secrets.

While in Iran, devices linked to them accessed this pilfered info.

Google caught wind of the scheme in August 2023 when internal security flagged Samaneh’s suspicious activity, leading to her access being revoked.

The company then tipped off law enforcement, who uncovered searches on the suspects’ devices for ways to delete communications and probe how long carriers keep message records. Samaneh even signed a false affidavit claiming she hadn’t shared Google’s secrets.

FBI Special Agent in Charge Sanjay Virmani said of the operation, “The method in which confidential data was transferred by the defendants involved deliberate steps to evade detection and conceal their identities,” according to a CNBC report.

Google spokesman José Castañeda added, “We have enhanced safeguards to protect our confidential information and immediately alerted law enforcement after discovering this incident.”

If convicted, each faces up to 10 years per trade secret count and up to 20 years for obstruction, plus fines of up to $250,000 per charge.

This indictment, unsealed on Thursday, comes amid heightened scrutiny of Iran’s cyber threats and espionage.

Former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich called out current Governor JB Pritzker over the possibility that the Chicago Bears are trying to leave Chicago and relocate to the State of Indiana.

An Indiana House Panel this past Thursday passed legislation to help finance a possible new stadium for the NFL franchise. The stadium would be built near Wolf Lake in Hammond, Indiana, which closely borders Illinois.

Former Governor Blagojevich weighed in on what the Indiana legislature did and blamed Governor Pritzker for the team’s consideration of a move.

Former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich argued Gov. JB Pritzker got “outplayed and outflanked” as the Chicago Bears look to leave the state for Indiana.

On Thursday, an Indiana House panel approved legislation to help finance a potential new NFL stadium for the team. The facility could be constructed near Wolf Lake in Hammond, Indiana, just across the state border.

“The Indiana legislature did what it did, and it caught our governor asleep,” Blagojevich said Saturday on “Fox & Friends Weekend.”

“Governor Pritzker really is guilty of gubernatorial malpractice, and this isn’t the first time a major business is about to leave Illinois,” he added. Fox News Reported.

The former Governor blamed Illinois’ high taxes as a possible reason that the Bears are considering a move. He also mentioned that other large companies have left the State, including Tyson Foods and Boeing.

Blagojevich called out Pritzker for the billions of dollars spent on illegal aliens and did not prioritize keeping the Bears in Chicago.

Mayor Brandon Johnson complained about the team’s desire to move to Indiana. He said, “the Bears belong in the city of Chicago.”

Illinois leaders, including the Mayor and Governor, appeared stunned by the news. Mike Braun, Indiana’s Governor, said the Bears reached out to the State of Indiana five months ago after being “rebuffed” by the State of Illinois.

Governor Braun said he has no plans to change the team’s title. He believes the team will benefit economically from the move.

A young boy who allegedly murdered his adoptive father in January over a Nintendo Switch was in court on Thursday in handcuffs.

Clayton Dietz, 11 years old, is facing charges as an adult for criminal homicide. He allegedly shot his father while he was asleep on January 13th, which was the child’s birthday.

The family lived in Duncannon, Pennsylvania, which is north of Harrisburg.

Dietz was in the custody of probation officers as he was heading to the Perry County courthouse for his hearing on Thursday.

A baby-faced 11-year-old accused of executing his adoptive father after he took away his Nintendo Switch was hauled into court in handcuffs on Thursday.

Clayton Dietz is being charged as an adult with criminal homicide after he shot his father dead in his bed on Jan. 13 — the child’s birthday — in Duncannon, Pa., north of Harrisburg.

The bespectacled boy, surrounded by probation officers, appeared to be tripping over himself as he walked into the Perry County Courthouse for a hearing Thursday afternoon, shocking video from WHP shows.

“Clayton, who was adopted in 2018, shot 42-year-old Douglas Dietz with a revolver he found in the dad’s safe, according to prosecutors.” New York Post Reported.

Clayton told authorities that he found the keys to the firearm safe while he was looking for his Nintendo Switch, which was confiscated and was in the safe with the gun.

The police responded at approximately 3:20 am on January 13th and found Douglas Dietz in bed with a gunshot wound to his head. Court documents revealed that Clayton was screaming after he shot his father.

Court documents also showed that Clayton had said to his mom, “Daddy’s dead,” and “I killed daddy.”

The affidavit said that he allegedly confessed to getting the gun, loading it, and going up to his father while he was sleeping and firing the gun at his father.

Douglas’ wife told the authorities she woke up to a loud noise. She nudged her husband, who did not respond. She realized blood was filling the sheets.

According to reports, Clayton is being tried as an adult.

New York City officials are looking to hire 1,000 emergency snow shovelers as a major winter storm moves toward the region.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani said during a press conference on Saturday that the city is preparing for what could be its most significant snowfall in nearly a decade.

“For those who want to do more to help their neighbors and earn some extra cash, you too can become an emergency snow shoveler,” Mamdani said.

”Just show up at your local sanitation garage between 8 am and 1 pm tomorrow with your paperwork,” he added.

Workers will be transported by vans and buses beginning Sunday night to clear bus stops, crosswalks, fire hydrants, and other public areas.

The Department of Sanitation said shovelers are paid $19.14 per hour, with overtime at $28.71 per hour after 40 hours.

However, netizens pointed out that applicants are required to present two forms of identification, despite Mamdani and the Democratic Party’s fervent opposition to Republican-backed voter ID mandates.

The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning for the city from Sunday morning through Monday evening.

Forecasters warn snowfall totals could exceed 20 inches, with the heaviest accumulation expected overnight Sunday into Monday.

The deployment comes after scrutiny following January’s Winter Storm Fern, when reports questioned whether the city had adequate emergency staffing.

The Department of Sanitation disputed those claims, saying operational needs have changed since the last comparable storm nearly a decade ago.

Officials said the incoming storm could surpass January’s system in severity.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, on Valentine’s Day, Robert Fuller, 87, was found dead by a gunshot wound in his apartment at the Cogir Potomac Senior Living facility in Potomac, Maryland.

The Montgomery County Department of Police has ruled his death a homicide.

The name of the suspect has yet to be released, but a surveillance video shows the suspect, who has long hair, leaving the facility at the time of the murder.

Investigators in Maryland have released a video of a person wanted in connection with the murder of an 87-year-old man known for his philanthropy and are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect whose face does not appear.

Robert Fuller Jr., 87, was found in his apartment at a senior living facility in Potomac, Maryland, on Feb. 14. He died of a gunshot wound to the head, according to the Montgomery County Police Department.

Fire and rescue responded to the Cogir of Potomac senior living facility at around 7:30 a.m. Fuller was found unresponsive in his apartment. Life saving measures were attempted, but he was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

Major crimes investigators were notified after responders saw trauma to the head. Investigators determined he was murdered, according to police.

Authorities have not been able to determine the suspect’s race or gender.

It appears the Cogir Potomac Senior Living Facility has ruled out its staff as suspects.

In a memo sent by the facility’s management to residents, they wrote, “This was an isolated incident, and there is no ongoing threat to residents or staff.”

The memo continues, “Out of an abundance of caution, we have strengthened our safety measures and brought in additional security presence to provide extra reassurance for our residents and families.”

Throughout his life, Fuller donated millions of dollars to help support his hometown of Augusta, Maine.
