Narnia is going full Netflix with rock and roll, glitter, psychedelia, and, most importantly, Translan played by Meryl Streep.

In his busy life, the most recent voice of the Lion of Narnia, Liam Neeson, wasn't aware of this casting choice made by the director of Barbie Greta Gerwig.

But he sure knows now:

Neeson: I'm sorry, this is news to me.
Interviewer: The new Narnia?
Neeson: Yeah.
Interviewer: Well, I'm grateful to be the one to break it to you.
Neeson: Oh, uh, great.
Interviewer: Meryl Streep is taking is taking on Aslan this time.
Neeson: Meryl is playing Jesus Christ?

He then went on to at least compliment Streep's acting chops, while clearly being confused as to why in the world Streep is playing Jesus Christ Himself.

C.S. Lewis never intended for Aslan to be a symbol or an allegory, but a different incarnation of Christ in Narnia.

Somehow, Liam Neeson gets this, but Greta Gerwig, Streep, no one at Netflix, and no one in the Lewis estate does.
