This is not satire.
A woman who calls herself "Karen" (I'm censoring her last name to protect her privacy, even though she provided it 😂), actually mailed this typed letter to our office:
Please stop using the word ‘Karen' to describe women whose bad public behavior is recorded. You are insulting a generation of women named Karen. Use the word b****. That is what you mean, so have the backbone to say b****. A woman with an opinion is not a b****, but a woman who treats others disrespectfully deserves the title.

She sat down to type out a letter to our staff.
She printed that letter and paid postage to send it to us.
Karens, we love you. We wish you nothing but the best in life. You are wonderfully and fearfully made in the image of Almighty God. That's why we won't degrade you by using an Old Norse word for female dogs to describe you when "Karen" will suffice.
If you want us to stop using your name as a slang term for crazy women, please stop doing crazy things!
