Another day, another PR disaster for the WNBA.

Faced with a storm of criticism over a mother-daughter duo who were forced to cover up shirts supporting keeping women’s sports reserved for women, the league that can’t shoot straight was forced to issue a blunt statement admitting the situation was badly handled.

It had to be humiliating.

"The WNBA is aware of interactions at (Sunday) night's game in Atlanta in which fans were asked by league security to cover their shirts," the statement said, according to the

Netanyahu Publicly Rejects Trump's Peace Plan for Gaza

Israeli officials are refusing a Gaza peace plan put forward by the Board of Peace created by President Donald Trump.

The critical piece of the plan was a proposal that Hamas would gradually disarm as Israeli troops pull out of Gaza, which it attacked after Hamas massacred Israeli citizens on Oct. 7, 2023.

On Saturday, Hamas said it would begin handing over weapons to a Palestinian governing body called for in the plan, according to The Times of Israel.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel's enemies will get nothing from him.

'Nothing to Hide': Embattled House Republican Files for Ethics Investigation Into Himself

Under fire over domestic abuse allegations, embattled Rep. Max Miller, a Republican from Ohio, announced on Tuesday that he intends to file paperwork to launch an ethics investigation into himself to clear his name.

“In light of all the renewed interest in my family affairs I am going to file my own paperwork for an ethics investigation into myself to clear my name from these horrific attacks on myself and family,” the lawmaker wrote in an X post.

“I have absolutely nothing to hide. We will be providing the committee all necessary documents needed for a detail examination. The accusations continue to change, but my facts stay the same. I am looking forward to my colleagues

Florida Republican gubernatorial candidate James Fishback has alleged that both his primary opponent, Rep. Byron Donalds, as well as Rep. Cory Mills are under federal investigation for alleged sex trafficking.

Fishback unveiled the bombshell allegations against the two House Republicans from Florida during a news briefing Thursday in Tallahassee. He cited an unnamed whistleblower who’d “approached” his campaign “with a disturbing pattern of evidence implicating” his primary opponent.

Saturday’s game between the Chicago Sky and the Indiana Fever at the United Center saw Fever player Sophie Cunningham get clotheslined to the face in a foul so egregious that the offending player, DiJonai Carrington, was ejected from the game.

The footage is nothing short of outrageous — Cunningham goes for a layup only to get a forearm to the face by Carrington.

Carrington was given a Flagrant 2 for her actions which ESPN explains results in disqualification because of contact with another player that is “unnecessary and excessive.”

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier said the WNBA would have faced a different response in his state after Chicago Sky guard DiJonai Carrington hit Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham during Saturday night’s game.

“The WNBA knows better than to play games down here in Florida, because I’ll be charging people with assault,” Uthmeier wrote on X after the viral incident.

A powerful 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck western Colombia on Monday, causing serious damage and sending people fleeing buildings.

The U.S. Geological Survey reported the earthquake struck at 7:34 a.m. near El Cairo, Valle del Cauca, Colombia.

The USGS said Ecuador and Panama were also among the affected countries.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio remained firmly in first place in the latest Western Journal weekly presidential straw poll, holding a wide lead over the rest of the Republican field despite a slight dip in support.

Rubio received 43.3 percent of respondents who participated in our weekly straw poll during the week of Aug. 3-9.

That was down 0.2 percentage points from the previous week and well short of the 50.3 percent support he hauled in just weeks ago.

Once upon a time, families were self-sufficient. They grew their own food, made their own clothes and household products, repaired their own vehicles, and repurposed what they could. They cared for themselves and leaned on community when needed.

Today, most of these skills are forgotten. Cost of living keeps soaring — from inflation and fading self-reliance knowledge.

People pay $1,000 for a repair instead of $100 on a part. Instead of preserved food from a cellar — new homes aren’t even built with one — they buy processed food of unknown origin. Cheap plastic products pile up because no one bothers fixing anything anymore — modern culture just replaces what breaks with something equally disposable. Families are overwhelmed by expenses, and even dual incomes don’t seem to be enough.

The House's Push to Purge LGBT Propaganda from Children's Shows

House Democrats and Republicans are fighting over whether children will be exposed to inappropriate LGBT content on television.

On July 13, 47 Republican House members sent a letter to the FCC, Federal Communications Commission, asking them to put a warning on shows that have LGBTQ+ themes.

"Democrats go so far as to state explicitly in their letter that transgender content will 'improve self-acceptance,'” the letter read.

"Parents deserve full transparency from television and streaming services regarding unwanted sexual content in programming rated for children, and it is our intention to provide them with the tools and information they need to make informed choices for their families.”

In recent years, numerous American parents have been frustrated with the inappropriate content in their young children’s shows.

Air Travel Revolution: Airbus Flies Plane Over 24 Hours in Moves Toward Nonstop Flights from Europe to Australia

Airbus recently completed a test flight from Australia to France, a key step on the way toward enabling nonstop flights between Europe and Down Under.

The aircraft was a specially adapted A350-1000ULR and flew for 24 hours and 24 minutes, Fox Business reported on July 29.

The flight started in Melbourne, Australia, and ended in Toulouse, France, traveling 14,338 miles without stopping.

Fox Business reported that the flight was part of Australian airline Qantas’ effort Project Sunrise.

“The A350 will operate more direct routes to Australia, with a significantly shorter point-to-point travel time — reducing flight time up to four hours compared to the flight time of one-stop flights,” Qantas said on its
