When Roe v. Wade was reversed, we celebrated in Louisiana. We are a state that has chosen life. We have elected leaders who believe children in the womb deserve protection, and our laws reflect that conviction. Abortion centers have closed. Our legislature classified abortion drugs as controlled substances. We have worked to build a culture that serves women and protects their babies.

A memo by the Los Angeles Fire Department allegedly revealed plans to “protect” Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass regarding her handling of the 2025 wildfires, according to a report.

In a 13-page “confidential memo,” that was entitled “LAFD AARR: Strategic Response Plan,” it was revealed that the goal was to “prepare and protect Mayor Bass, the City, and the LAFD from reputational harm,” according to the Los Angeles Times (LA Times).

The president will address the gathered governors following the Supreme Court ruling against his implementation of tariffs under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA).

Lane said, “Assuming any of this is true, we don’t know yet. Um, it may be that some of this money came from the fact that he had advanced information about global affairs that he was getting from these people in his network and one of these people may have been Prince Andrew.”

Carney said, “There’s about a half-dozen other statutes that specifically authorize the president to impose tariffs. They did it under IEEPA because there’s less procedural hurdles, and they believed it allowed them more flexibility. They can do it under these other statutes. So, a lot of the tariffs that will get knocked down because you can’t do them under IEEPA are probably going to come back pretty quickly.”

A newly leaked audio revealed how Mexico’s top naval officials talked about covering up fuel theft and smuggling operations that reached the highest levels of the military institution and were also connected at the highest levels of Mexico’s ruling party, MORENA. The fuel-smuggling operation involved the nephews of the country’s Navy secretary at the time.

On Saturday’s broadcast of “Fox News Live,” Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) stated that the DHS shutdown “is nothing more than people that are afraid of the base to just explain to them that shutting down the entire DHS will have no impact or make those kinds of reforms for ICE.”

A Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Aircraft Operations Division drone pilot detected three illegal immigrants moments after they crossed the Rio Grande early Thursday, guiding troopers and Border Patrol agents to the group. The female migrant was found wearing six colored wristbands on each wrist — a cartel method for tagging migrants by payment level and assigned crossing point — as she traveled with a three‑year‑old child.

President Trump’s new tariffs were imposed under Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974, which allows temporary import restrictions when the United States faces “fundamental international payments problems,” including a “large and serious” balance-of-payments deficit. The term is not commonly used outside economic policy circles, but it refers broadly to a country’s financial relationship with the rest of the world.
